It’s important to have an idea of what the general installation workflow looks like, before going more into the details of the process.

Following is a list of high level tasks to bring up a CORD POD:

  • CORD software gets downloaded and built on the dev machine

  • A POD configuration is created by the operator on the dev machine

  • The software is pushed from the dev machine to the head node

  • The software gets automatically configured (deployed) on the head node

  • Compute nodes and fabric switches need to be manually rebooted. CORD automatically installs the OS, other software needed and performs the related configurations.
